February 2020 - Here's What's Up!

Hello friends! Nothing like a new website to remind me to check in with you and let you know what's cooking! The biggest development for me is that I've gone back to school to pursue my MFA in music composition, so I've been exploring all kinds of new musical ideas, including digging deeper than ever before into scoring for strings. My re-score for the open source Blender film Spring will be performed later this month by the amazing string quartet Invoke at the Vermont College of Fine Arts in Montpelier, VT. This will be the first time one of my film scores has been performed live to picture, so I'm pretty excited! The performance will be live streamed, so I'll post more details soon.

In other news, I once again have the good fortune of working with playwright Barbara Kahn. I'm composing music for a dance to be performed by the historical figure of Lola Montez for her new play They Came To The Castle, which will go up at New York City's Theater for the New City in March.

Finally....FINALLY...me and my partner in life and musical crime, Jamie Lendino, are putting some finishing touches on the song "Rise" which will be released as a single later this month. I'm excited for you to hear it.

And...if you haven't yet had a chance to listen, please check out the wonderful Sharon Goldman's Every Trip Around the Sun, which she and I produced and Jamie mixed. She has written some truly fantastic, moving, thought-provoking songs, and I'm honored to have worked on this project.
